This book is a small companion to Maestro Gaugler's excellent volume,
The Science of Fencing.
While the modern sport fencer will find this to be a disappointing book, to a student
of Classical Italian swordmanship it will be invaluable. However, in addition to
Italian Classical terminology, Gaugler also covers Classical French and even
Classical Hungarian Saber terminology. Furthermore, the specific source for each
entry is noted out of a Bibliography of forty-three fencing manuals.
Unforunately, like Maestro Gaugler's other books, this volume is out of print.
However, as of late 2006, new and used versions are still available for not too much
more than the $9.95 list price.
