MASHS.
The premier Mid-Atlantic venue for Historical Swordsmanship, founded and run by long-time fencer Larry Tom. MASHS is also the Order of the Seven Hearts' parent group.

Chicago Swordplay Guild.
In many ways, the Guild is the archetype of the modern Western Martial Arts organization. This school boasts an impressive roster of teachers, and pioneers of our community, including Greg Mele, Mark Rector and others.

St. Martin’s Academy.
This Madison, WI, based school was founded by Bob Charron, a man who has set the standard for many serious researchers in the Western Martial Arts world. Their main emphasis is on the late-Medieval armed and unarmed arts described by Fiore De’ Liberi (1409).

Northwest Academy of Arms.
This school is run by Maestro Sean Hayes, a pupil of the venerable Maitre Gaugler, and a teacher of impressive skills and impeccable credentials. Maestro Hayes is not only a worthy carrier of the Classical Fencing living tradition, but is also a dedicated researcher of such past masters and systems as Capoferro, Silver and MS. I.33.

Order of Selohaar.
The Order is devoted primarily to the study and practice of the 15th-Century German Liechtenauer tradition. They operate under the tutelage of talented researcher and great friend Christian Tobler, author of the successful title Secrets of German Medieval Swordsmanship and Fighting with the German Longsword.

Tattershall School of Defence.
Producing some of the best researchers and practitioners in the USA, this organization’s main branch is run by William Wilson of Flagstaff, AZ. Tattershall’s lineup of teachers includes Roger Siggs, Gary Chelak, Jherek Swanger and others.

Academia della Spada.
A very dedicated and eclectic group based in Seattle, WA. While their main emphasis is the rapier-work of Vincentio Saviolo under the good guide of Messer Cecil Longino, the Academia explores many diverse martial and cultural aspects of the Renaissance.

Martinez Academy of Arms.
Based in New York and run by Maestro Ramon Martinez, pupil of the celebrated Maitre Rhodes, the Martinez Academy is a traditionally-run fencing and Western Martial Arts school that boasts excellent curricula and an extensive output of talented students.

School of European Swordsmanship (Finland).
Founded in March 2001 and run by the talented Guy Windsor of Cambridge, England. Mr. Windsor’s achievements as a professional teacher are considerable, and his school is flourishing with different branches around the Nordic Countries.

Finesse Academy of Fence
Headed by Mr. Julian Clark, Finesse is a swordsmanship school based in Canberra, Australia. Their work centers mostly on Salvator Fabris, French smallsword and classical foil. Thanks to its traditional approach to teaching and learning, Finesse has impressed us as producing some of the best students we have ever observed, both in terms of form and learning ability. One of the schools senior provosts, Victoria Clarke, also serves as president of the Australasian Historical Swordsmanship Federation for 2005-2006.

Stoccata School of Defence (Australia and Tasmania).
This academy was founded by our good friend Stephen Hand, whose name has rightfully become household currency in the historical fencing community. Stoccata specializes in medieval styles (Manuscript I.33), as well as the Elizabethan sword arts.

The Trayn'd Bande of the Blackfriars.
A fencing academy run by Sean Kiernan based on Carson City, Nevada. Their work centers on Rapier, Silver's Shortsword and the Longsword of Meyer; they are one of the largest groups dedicated to the rapier system of Salvator Fabris. The Blackfriars also give performances in Stage combat.

Darkwood Armory, historical rapiers.
Scott Wilson of Florida produces some of the very best and most historically-accurate rapiers of which we know. All his products are hand-made, carefully following historical proportions, weight, balance and, of course, appearance. Most swords used by the Order of the Seven Hearts are his creations.
